Between the Lautaret Pass and Briançon, at an altitude of 1,650 m, in the small hamlet of Lauzet, and at the gates of the Ecrins National Park, this is a place where nature offers you its benefits, in a relaxing and paradisiacal environment. And it is in this old renovated school, in the heart of the hamlet of Lauzet, that Marc - a mountain guide - and Isabelle welcome you among their hosts, in all friendliness and simplicity. Here, the moment of the holidays allows us to meet as a family, in the same atmosphere, and to rediscover the spirit of the mountain cottage, whose structure set up by the tenants of the place, encourages exchange, communication, even the sharing of mealtimes. It is not an individual cottage but a collective one. Everyone participates in the table setting and storage in the beautiful vaulted dining room. We may have to share the room with another family. The principle of a refuge, but with the functional comfort and friendliness of the owners.

Nous nous sommes régalé, aussi bien sur les pentes qu'à table grâce à l'accueil et à la cuisine de Claude et Hélène.
C'était mon premier séjour chez eux, mais je comprends pourquoi les 3 amis avec qui j'étais y passent tous leurs congés de Février avec leurs familles depuis de nombreuses années.

On peut compter sur Daniel pour mettre l'ambiance et vous conseiller sur les meilleures randos à faire, les sites d'escalade etc.
Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Je vous le recommande vivement.

1 - Extraordinary welcome: Daniel and Helen are adorable. They will do everything to make you feel well.
2 - The food is excellent: Helen will make you " petits" dishes houses (not so small that in fact). It is better than the restaurant, and you can eat with them very nice. Breakfast is perfect, you can taste all jams of Helen house. You will want to bring back some at home because they are good.
3 - The price. it is not expensive at all. I dishes with the challenge to find cheaper with the same type of services.
4 - Accessories available for babies (Bed, high Chair,…)
5 - Access to the public rooms. one of the rooms is huge and very warm. you will be installed in sofas next to a fire. you have available for refrigerators to put your beers in the shade.
6 - The corner is super owl, you are in a small village with 5 minutes of Monetier baths (Ski resort nearby and easy access), you can make multiple walks.
This cottage request to know because it is worth the detour. I wish you a good stay Chez Daniel and Helen.
