Val Buëch-Méouge is a new commune in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region. It is the result of the merger of the communes of Antonaves, Châteauneuf-de-Chabre and Ribiers. Antonaves is a hilltop village located 15 kilometers from Sisteron and 6.5 kilometers from Laragne Montéglin. It overlooks the village of Châteauneuf-de-Chabre, which lies at the entrance to the Méouge gorges. Châteauneuf-de-Chabre lies at the confluence of the Buëch and Méouge rivers, 15 km from Sisteron and 43 km from Gap. Ribiers is the administrative center of the Hautes-Alpes département.
