Built with stone between 1815 and 1825, its walls are whitewashed externally while the tower is made of wood and covered with slate. The interior that cannot be visited contains a massive library with "Réformés" books and an "abondance lift" of the village: the main purpose of the reserve was to help farmers during years of famine. In times of abundance, they returned the grains they borrowed with interest of one-twelfth of each harvested.
