Associative cottage located just before the col du Lautaret at Villar d 'Arêne near the village of La Grave (mecca of mountaineering and freeride).
Very warm welcome, good food, sauna, wi-fi for those that interests, and rates contained.
Located near the national park des ecrins, not far from Serre Chevalier (20minutes drive), Monêtiers baths (Spa), Briançon (30min), Montgenèvre (45min), the 2alpes (20minutes).
Many activities, so much in winter (skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing) that the summer (mountain biking, cycling of road and mythical passes, such as Lautaret, Galibier), via ferrata, glaciers, lakes, fishing, rafting on the Romanche, Kayaking on the Guisane, Canyoning, etc.)
One of the sunniest regions of France.
I discovered this cottage by chance, ten years ago, and go back since at least once a year.
I came there first the winter for the large ski slope on the largest from Europe (3550m with 1400m) between high mountains, forest of larch and meadow.
2150m of difference in height by descent, allow 3 to 4 integral descents maximum per day, for the most aicha, a kind of héliski for less than € 50 per day thanks to the cable car to the glaciers of the Meije.
Wild estate, where you can also stroll while keeping in mind that it is an area of high mountains, beautiful but which leads to some inherent risks in the middle.
However on the classic itineraries the cleared up skiers can really give pleasure, by the diversity of the land and the scenery offered.
Then came the summer, for walks in the mountains and all additional activities, mountain biking, mountain biking electric, via ferrata, canyoning, rafting.
Active holidays or contemplative, and taste, you will spend a good time.

Touch of information on the level of the access from the road of Grenoble (RD1091).
Since April 2015 a depression on the level of the tunnel Chambon required the closure of the access by RD1091 that stops on the level of the lake of selected.
Since November 2015, the RS1091 was opened.
It is available and is open, despite the panels that indicate the opposite while advise to make a detour via GAP (Frejus tunnel).
Special rates are granted (see site of the Tourist Office) for people, or them vehicle of an imposing gauge, in front of going on site via the tunnel.
However, it is much shorter by RS1091.
