THE FRATY
These strange buildings in Laprugne are former miners' lodgings, converted into a vacation home.
For two decades, the commune of Laprugne housed the miners of the nearby Saint-Priest-Laprugne uranium mine, even though it also had a vein of uranium ore at the place called Le Fraty. From the road, while enjoying the panorama of the Besbre valley, you will see from the road that leads to Laprugne, these strange buildings on the side of the mountain, built to house the miners' families. Built in 1960, they became a vacation residence in 1982.
