BOATHOUSE
Museum located in a house in the historic river district, near the Coin des Feugnants.
The museum is housed in a house in the historic river people's quarter, near the Coin des Feugnants, where the bargemen were waiting to be hired. The ground floor is entirely open to the public. Three rooms present this little-known heritage. An early 19th century Bourbonnais interior evokes the traditional habitat of a boat carpenter from the Veurdre. Through panels and models of barges, you will be introduced to the long history of river transport in the region. Also admire the futreau built by Fernand Bissonnier in the 1930s.
