THE PARISH CHURCH OF SAINT-MARTIN
Building that was the justice room of the Sabran castle with numerous marks of workmanship and carved elements
It is towards the end of the 11th century that the parish church of Ansouis appears in the texts as a dependency of the cathedral chapter of Aix, of which it was one of the prebends until the Revolution. The present building dates from the 13th century; it was the courtroom of the Château des Sabran with numerous marks of the "tâcherons" (workers' marks) and sculpted elements. When the roof was rebuilt, two new bells, Sainte-Roselyne and Saint-Martin came to join their elders.
