Portail Neuf, where you can still see the place where the portcullis used to slide and close from a room upstairs.
A large part of the wall that stood at the level of this door was destroyed in 1844 to pay for the repair of the bell tower and the roof of the church. Today we can still see the place where the harrow used to slide, which was operated from a room on the first floor of the gate. The two openings corresponding to the old doors of this room are also visible. On the other hand, the upper part of the tower has disappeared, but it is assumed that it was crowned with battlements and merlons to complete the defensive system.
