BRASSERIE DE L'HORLOGE
Restaurant in Avignon offering a cuisine with fresh and quality products, fish and meat.
In general, the restaurants on Place de l'Horloge are known to be "catch-tourist" restaurants. This one, which we hardly notice, denotes and offers a cuisine with fresh and quality products, which makes the difference. The blood sausage comes from the Fillière house, the fish from the halls, the beef is Charolais or angus, the French fries are homemade and the cream of the mille-feuille with red fruits is freshly served. The menu is always different and the dish is beautiful to see. The restaurant has two terraces, one on the square in front of the Opera House and the other next to the restaurant, more intimate. The interior gives the impression of being a brasserie that has remained in its original state, with this large room, its old counter, the wooden bistro chairs and the tables covered in white: the setting is refined and cosy. The bosses used to run the Opera Café in its heyday, today they are back on the adventure right next door, with a more family-friendly restaurant that promises to be a very good restaurant. We recommend.
