LE CARRÉ
Restaurant of the district in a contemporary frame proposes a copious formula buffet in Avignon.
Change of owners at Carré, now Albert is behind the stove and Patricia in room. We love this neighbourhood restaurant for its simplicity, the quality of reception and of course what is in our plates. Designed like a loft, Le Carré has fair volumes and brightness; the decor is contemporary with exposed beams, design furniture, benches and leather armchairs, graphic paintings, an overhead projector broadcasts news channel on immaculate white section of wall. Try the buffet on Tuesday, it is a selection of cooked fresh ingredients and you have a choice of 8 starters, 2 main courses and 2 dishes, 3 desserts. On the menu, we particularly noticed the crushed osso-bucco, duck confit and its potato with a Perigueux sauce and as dessert a creme brulee with salted butter. On the wine list, those of Vallée du Rhône, including the wine of the month, the favourite of Albert. You can trust him! The service is impeccable, and you are welcomed with a smile. The location of the restaurant except ramparts is an asset, you will not have a problem (Lidl car park).
