L’ENTREPÔT - CIE MISES EN SCÈNE
This is the story of a meeting… The Avignonnaise actress Michèle Addala and a group of young people in the suburbs of Avignon in 1982. Three years later, the Staging Company, a group of artists, distinguished by its work of engagement with the populations of the districts of Avignon, the penitentiary centre and the blood-oncology and long stay services of the Henri-Duffaut hospital. Since 2002, the company has laid its suitcases at L'Warehouse, a place between the intra and the outer muros, which invites the public of the neighbourhoods and the town centre to join, and allows Staging to sit up its creative work with a credo: ' to combine the risk of artistic act and the risk of meeting with the public in difficulty '. Thus, blending contemporary and classic references (Shakespeare, Molière), the company creates new pieces, and organizes word workshops. In July, L'Warehouse also hosts off-site shows.
