It's "the biggest theatre in the world"! Thanks to the diversity of its cultural offerings, the Off, an alternative festival created in 1963 by André Benedetto, is one of the largest festivals of independent companies in the world. It transforms the city - suspended signs, flyers with catchy words, acrobats competing with imagination to bait the barge. Companies come and go from far and wide. Everything is conducive to theatrical gesticulations: improbable places arranged (garage, corridors, barge ... but also disused school and gymnasium).

Un festival à ne pas manquer. L'ambiance dans les rues y est incomparable, les spectacles sont à tous les coins de rue, il y en a pour tous les goûts et pour toutes les bourses. La ville est comme transformée pendant le mois de juillet, de nombreux endroits se transforment en théâtre pour proposer des centaines de spectacles très éclectiques.

A faire et refaire ! Bonne ambiance générale, c'est super de déambuler dans les rues d'Avignon, de croiser les comédiens faire la promotion de leur spectacle. Difficile de choisir que quelques spectacles lorsque l'on reste que quelques jours sur place, le choix étant tellement riche.
Il faut prendre la carte off pour bénéficier de tarifs avantageux sur les spectacles.

Fan de théâtre, j'ai adoré découvrir le off de Avignon.
Quelle ambiance ! Des affiches, des pancartes, des acteurs, des badauds....tout se mêle, s'emmêle....Et tout le monde communique...des sourires s'échangent et au final, on revient avec une pile de flyers, on choisit des spectacles, et on n'a plus envie que celà se termine....
