DOJO DU MISTRAL
The Mistral Dojo welcomes members of MJU Avignon all Year Long, an association created in 1964 by Christian Ramon, a former high-level judo (several participations at the French Championships and international tournaments) and specialist in numerous martial arts. The reputation of the MJU crossed borders thanks to the memorable performance of a former member, Angelo Parisi, a triple Olympic medalist in judo (including gold in 1980). The MJU Avignon, a school of rigor and Self-Sacrifice, proposes to introduce children under the age of 15 to judo and to follow them in their progression, grade after grade. The elderly can taste the joys (and pain!) of the practice of daito nihon - self defence martial art including atémis (strikes, attacks on vital points, keys, projections and strangulations - or bo-ken jutsu, which exercises in the handling of weapons (sticks, katanas, daggers). Specific courses of preparation for the Dans are provided for black belts. To know that admission is selective in order to establish small groups and thus ensure good training work.
