IMCA (INSTITUT DES MÉTIERS DE LA COMMUNICATION AUDIOVISUELLE)
Created in 1984 and independent, this institute is a vocational training centre for audiovisual professions. It is therefore aimed at young people wishing to learn these professions and to people who want to improve their qualifications. The institute offers long courses (image and sound trades, scriptwriter) and short courses (techniques, scenario). Its scope of action is wide ranging from classical arts (literature, live show) to digital technologies. It conducts actions ranging from economic development (accompaniment of cultural enterprise projects) to education (scenario correspondence course) through non-commercial production (over 80 short films per year) and public information on the audiovisual sector. Relying on teachers only from the audiovisual universe and on a technical equipment of frequently renewed quality, the institute is gaining weight, years after years. To know that IMCA is one of the few French bodies allowing access to audiovisual professions without conditions of diplomas. Indeed, recruitment favours the motivation and professional project of candidates.
