This chapel is a recognized example of Provençal Romanesque art
The Notre-Dame-d'Aubune chapel stands at the foot of the Ambrosi caves, just outside the village. Construction began in the 11th and 12th centuries. It is a recognized example of Provençal Romanesque art. Its impressive bell tower, listed as a Monument Historique, can be seen from the village. To reach the top of the cliff, you'll have to go around the Rocher du Diable (Devil's Rock). A Medieval Garden follows the form and philosophy of medieval gardens. Nearby lie the semi-buried sarcophagi of the early Christian necropolis.
