A building rebuilt in 1727, and classified as a historical monument in 1909 in Bollène
The story begins in the 7th century, when Clovis II gave Bollène to the Benedictines of Ile Barbe, a small island 6 km north of Lyon. They settled in Bollène in the 10th century and built a priory which was destroyed by the Protestants in the 16th century. From the top of the Saint-Antoine tower, the first defense of the priory, the baron des Adrets had the monks thrown down. Rebuilt, it is in 1727 that the building will be erected as a collegiate church. It was classified as a historical monument in 1909.
