ST. ETIENNE'S CHURCH

Church with a Gothic nave and chapels dating from the century located at the upper exit of the village of Cadenet.
Built on the site of a Romanesque building that had probably replaced a pagan sanctuary, the church is not in the middle of the historic centre, but at the upper exit of the village. Its Gothic nave dates back to the 14th century, as do the chapels that run alongside it. Its choir was built in the 17th century at the same time as the bell tower, completed two hundred years later. On its main facade opens a pointed door surmounted by a rose window under which is written "French Republic, liberty, fraternity" which dates from the revolution.
