A lively square in the center of Cadenet, home to the statue of André Estienne since 1894 and a livestock trading theater
Since 1894, this lively square in the center of Cadenet has been home to the statue of André Estienne, a hero who volunteered for the Luberon regiment of Bonaparte's army and was nicknamed the "Little Drummer of Arcole". In the 16th and 17th centuries, when it was outside the town walls, this charming square was the scene of trade in small and large livestock. Today, it remains at the heart of the village's activity, with its lively weekly market held year-round every Monday morning.
