Cadenet has 12 fountains and wash houses outside the ramparts until the end of the 17th century. The Basse fountain (1535) is the oldest. The Chickpea Fountain (1830) wants its water to allow better cooking of chickpeas! The Great Fountain (1806) reminds us of the fountain of the Four Dolphins in Aix-en-Provence. The basket makers used to put the wicker to soak in the wicker fountain. On the street side, the rue Pasteur is one of the most picturesque with the oldest houses. The 19th century Place du Tambour-d'Arcole was the site of the cattle market.

Il faut prendre du temps pour savourer toutes les jolies rues, places... A noter la statue en bronze à la mémoire d'André Estienne, soldat napoléonien " petit tambour " héros de la bataille d'Arcole.
