From this main square of the village sit two important monuments: the Hotel de Camaret, home of the Camaret family, and the fountain of the square, classified as a Historic Monument. Its four stone masks tell the legend of King Midas, who was saved from thirst thanks to a spring that gushed forth from the earth in the middle of the desert. On the edges of the basin, iron bands armed with hooks. In 1749, the builders used this stratagem to prevent housewives from coming to wash their clothes at the fountain because it was reserved for the herds.
