CINÉMA LE RIVOLI
This "small" independent cinema opened in 1985 in Carpentras. He was picked up in 1993 by Florence Passalacqua and his husband, and can boast very satisfactory figures even though he has to deal with the mastodons of the Commerciaux-Pathé of commercial centres: more than 17 000 entries per year, a little less than 300 screened films and an extension that follows its course, since it has gone from 2 rooms during its recovery, to 4 today, most equipped for people with reduced mobility. The issue of digital switchover arises, but for the rest, this couple of passionate people will lose sight of their convictions: a striking balance between blockbusters/public films ("Harry Potter", "Sherlock Holmes", "Untouchables"…) and independent art and essay films with "young public" labels, "I am called Bernadette", "It was Anatolia", "La twig", etc. Also a space for receiving it. school and film fans, for moments of theme and sharing encounters around one or more films.
