Go there and contact
Strawberries, native to South America, arrived in France in the 18th century. The first plants were brought to Carpentras at the same time in 1882. The inauguration of the Carpentras Canal at the same time made it possible, thanks to its providential water supply, to give an important boost to this culture. For this reason, the strawberry festival is celebrated in Carpentras. And on the program following the years: strawberry producers' sales stands, edutainment workshops, culinary demonstration around strawberries with Escoffier chefs, pastry demonstration and on registration at the office visit a confectionery, a strawberry farm, depending on the seasons.... Free admission, place Maurice Charretier.
