Cosy nest of rooms with spa, whirlpool and sauna facilities

Once the home of the Castillon family, lords of Cucuron, it took five years of restoration to give it back its letters of nobility. A young artist has signed the decoration, the vintage rubs shoulders with the contemporary. The rooms are cosy nests. We loved the spa in the rocky cavity of the basement, the whirlpool bath and the sauna for an absolute well-being break. A patio and the surrounding countryside. To eat without going out, on site at Moris.

Séjour merveilleux, les chambres sont magnifiques et plus que confortables, le spa est magnifique, le restaurant somptueux, l'accueil incroyable (les maîtres d'hôtel sont d'une gentillesse...) merci infiniment pour ce séjour ! Les lieux sont inoubliables !

Une maison historique au cœur du village, remarquablement restaurée, très bien aménagée et décorée avec goût et originalité. Rien de manque au confort des chambres, ni à l'espace détente (vaste jacuzzi, douche et sauna). Un accueil impeccable et un excellent restaurant, ce qui ne gâche rien. A ne pas manquer.

The old house, rooms and spa area is equipped with stylish furniture and it‘s visible that a certain effort was made for renovation. Nevertheless, the elegant atmosphere and comfort presented in the pictures online is not really reflected in reality or maybe not shown completely as it should be finally (?), e.g. keychains, Wi-Fi password, missing room information, no towels for spa or possibility to lay down in the spa. Ongoing construction work is also still visible in the house, therefore it‘s a bit dusty almost everywhere.
The staff is very engaged, but a certain professionalism is unfortunately missing.
The breakfast included a lot of local products (marmalade, honey, bread), but presentation of the food could be improved.
The main point why the stay was only ok is the value for the money. We stayed at 9 locations within our 2 weeks round trip in France (Provence & Côte d’Azur) and this location was the most disappointing considering what you get for the price per night.
Nevertheless, the location is located nice in the middle of the old town and maybe some points are only due to the fact, that the opening was 3 months ago, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
