Water mill producing high quality paper using traditional century techniques
Vallis Clausa is the reconstruction of a water mill that produces high quality paper using traditional 15th century techniques. During the visit of the workshop, you will follow all the stages of production from the shredding of the fabrics to the drying process. The most impressive piece of equipment is the large paddle wheel with its 48 blades and a diameter of 7m. The paper is intended for the publication of art, prints and old engravings.

La boutique est agréable et nous nous y sommes attardés un bon moment. Quant au moulin en lui même ... en contrebas c'était extrêmement sale, il y avait juste quelques pancartes explicatives et la roue qui tournait encore (le seul élement à voir finalement).
En sortant, on a pu toutefois admirer la Sorgues d'un autre point de vue (ce qui a sauvé la ballade).
Heureusement, l'attraction est gratuite!
C'est très intéressant de voir comment fonctionne un moulin à eau pour fabriquer du papier (en vente dans la boutique).
