Chic bistro-style restaurant serving fresh produce, including vegetables from local producers
A fine discovery is Petite Histoire, a chic bistro-style restaurant on the outskirts of Apt, on the road to Gargas at a place called Le Chêne. Olivier is in the dining room. Laurent Canton-Bacara is behind the stove. Laurent is a local, having worked in Bonnieux and Lacoste, but has also worked in Mandelieu and Théoule-sur-Mer. In the kitchen, fresh produce, a basket of vegetables from the farmer next door, and it all smells as you approach the passe-plat. The terrace is open almost all year round.
