Real cathedrals for a unique festival of colors and sensations

The quarries of Rustrel and Roussillon are in the open air, those of Bruoux are underground. Imagine more than 40 km of galleries mostly dug by hand. The visit is a loop of 650 meters and some galleries can reach 15 meters high, real cathedrals for a unique festival of colors and sensations. The temperature is around 10°C and the humidity level is high, so you should bring suitable clothing and good walking shoes

Un site étonnant et envoûtant

Après avoir visité les carrières à ciel ouvert, n'hésitez pas à vous rendre dans les carrières souterraines qui permettent de faire un voyage hors du temps. La visite guidée vaut le détour !

Un lieu étonnant; des galeries formant un vrai labyrinthe creusées dans une falaise d'ocres. Privilégiez une visite l'été lorsqu'il fait bien chaud dehors; c'est un bon moyen de se rafraichir; mais attention, n'oubliez pas de prendre un pull car il fait assez froid à l'intérieur.

Magnificent visit inside the mines. Accompanied by a guide which provides us full of explanations on the site, the beauty of the place is popular. About 10 degree inside, think of a jacket. Hours attention of precise visit, it should be expected 1:00 if you disastrous the beginning (no free tour because you might to lose yourself in the galleries).
