THE CHAPEL OF ST. JOHN AND DAMIEN
Chapel in the north of the village, offering an exceptional panorama on the village and its historical enclosure in Gigondas
It is on the road to the Dentelles de Montmirail, in the middle of nature. It is a stopover that plays hide and seek with the village that you can see through the trees. It's soothing. A first chapel was built in the 7th century. There are still its foundations. Beautiful absidioles date from the 10th and 11th centuries. The rest, restored many times, is in Romanesque style. Its external layout allowed the discovery of burials. The stained glass windows tell the life of Saint Como and Saint Damien.
