Chapel known for its troubled times, vandalized then rebuilt, with 17th-century door framed by 2 rusticated pilasters, etc.
Appearing in history around 1520, the Notre-Dame de Consolation chapel has known troubled times, having been vandalized before being rebuilt in 1650. It features a 17th-century doorway framed by two rusticated pilasters topped by a cornice, an 18th-century choir and nave decorated in faux marble, and an 18th-century limestone forecourt. Listed as a historic monument since 1942, it is one of the most beautiful chapels in the Luberon.
