RANDONNEE CHAPELLE SAINT-JULIEN
Go there and contact
The Saint-Julien plateau in La Bastidonne is a veritable natural fortress, preserving the remains of an oppidum, a large-scale fortified construction. Occupied during the Iron Age and Gallo-Roman periods, this site bears witness to a rich and ancient history. A chapel dedicated to Saint Julien was built in the 17th century, with an adjacent hermitage. Starting from the village, a 4 km hike called "Chapelle Sud" will take you to the Saint-Julien chapel in around 20 minutes, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, the Durance River and Mont Sainte-Victoire.
