EGLISE NOTRE DAME DE BONNE AVENTURE
Parish church built in 1485, revealing a sober yet graceful interior with a semi-circular vaulted ceiling and apse
Becoming a parish church in 1486, its construction dates back to the middle of the 13th century, around 1240-1250. Scarcely more imposing than a rural chapel, its interior is sober yet graceful, with a round-vaulted ceiling and a semicircular apse at the back of the choir. The baptismal font dates from 1496. Until the end of the 19th century, it was the beating heart of the village, serving not only as a place of worship, but also as a community house and meeting point for all important ceremonies. Its upkeep has sometimes been difficult due to the village's modest resources, but its furnishings can still be admired: several sculptures, paintings and pieces of silverware from the 18th and 19th centuries. Although Notre-Dame de Bonne Aventure no longer has its own priest, it remains a place of gathering and prayer.
