Semi-troglodytic castle that follows the line of the rock, the ruins of the seigniorial palace and the large tower to discover
The semi-troglodytic Petit Arnsbourg castle, built on high, steep rock, once belonged to Wissembourg Abbey. This atypical edifice follows the curves of the rock, with staircases and passageways winding through the pink Vosges sandstone. You can admire the ruins of the seigniorial palace and a large tower, which would have been equipped with gunboats to defend access. The farmyard was located on the other side of the defensive moat.
