CASTLE OF LUTZELHARDT

Semi-troglodytic castle of the XIIIth century founded to protect the seigniory of Bitche, the walls of the keep and the seigniorial house to see
Built in the mid-13th century to protect the seigneury of Bitche, this is a semi-troglodytic castle, like almost all those in the region. What remains are the walls of the keep, the seigneurial dwelling, wells and cisterns. Its romantic ruins stand in the middle of the forest. You can get there by taking the Bitche road out of the village, then turning towards the Lutzelhardt forest house. You can park in the parking lot and walk for a quarter of an hour along the yellow rectangles of the Club Vosgien signposted path.
