This old mill, owned by Poppy Salinger and her family, is a haven of peace, where you are welcomed as friends. You will appreciate the refined and elegant rooms and suites with modern comfort. One of the rooms on the ground floor with a private terrace is suitable for people with reduced mobility. Breakfast is served as a buffet on the terrace or in the room. Gourmets can reserve the Au Gusto table for lunch or dinner. For history lovers, the Pierre Salinger Museum presents the personal memorabilia of the journalist and spokesman for President Kennedy.

Staff are very charming and accommodating for all gluten, nut food allergies. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Bed is soft though. AC will make the hottest provincial summer nice and cool. Staff will clean and replace towels and turndown.
Pauline is awesome and shared some amazing stories. Poppy, the owner, also has great experiences to share and is very gracious and caring. Showed us the house and rooms, gave us pointers to places to visit and overall was great host.
We had a four course dinner during our stay that accommodated to our allergies and was excellent.
Some things you should NOT expect from this place
1. this place is not near stores or other conveniences, so don’t expect it. It is a rural retreat and go for the peaceful and charming country villa experience
2. Not cheap. It is expensive, breakfast is $20 and minimal for example.
3. Not a hotel so There are no overnight staff and front desk. You can come back anytime and unlock the front door. We had a challenge when we were not able to open the door. I had to call out names around the building before some one came by to open.
Having an emergency number with you will be good idea.
Finally Maya the golden retriever will kill you with her begging eyes!
