A hill overlooking the commune of Le Thor and the Vaucluse plain, with the typical garrigue of the region, a beautiful nature getaway.
It's a small hill overlooking the commune of Le Thor and the Vaucluse plain. It's all garrigue. Here, you can smell the rosemary and wild thyme, and pick little irises and asparagus for delicious omelettes! A true Provencal secret... In the 11th century, it was home to a monastery that was fortified in the 16th century. It was abandoned in the 17th century. What remains, however, is an almost restored Romanesque church, defensive towers and, to the north, a small chapel. A lovely hike that combines relaxation and history.
