Grilled meat and Corsican specialties in a nice setting with terrace in the heart of Lourmarin.

Located right in the heart of Lourmarin, Café de la Fontaine is there at any time of day to satisfy your appetite or just quench your thirst. The atmosphere is always festive, with the chef working on truffle raggatoni or a delicious rib-eye steak before your very eyes. We tried the tuna steak with Thai sauce, which was a delight. You can also indulge in Corsican specialties based on charcuterie, cheese and wine. The decor is totally 19th-century bistro. You can find privacy in the small upper room or enjoy the sunshine on the terrace.

Service was absolutely terrible. Despite ordering the advertised breakfast (coffee, croissant, and juice) they never brought out the juice. We asked them twice for it and it still never arrived and then they tried to charge us the full amount. Meanwhile the waiters were busy talking to one another inside rather than serving their customers. Hopeless. Definitely just go to Cafe Gaby.
