Personnel aimable, bons produits locaux.

Review for dinner at the restaurant:
Atmosphere: Comfortable/cozy. This place is beautifully/tastefully decorated while also being very approachable where people feel they can sit and relax. To me, this is the perfect/ideal combination. Great for a group of friends, family, or a date night. Probably my most favorite location in terms of venue.
Parking: There is parking available along the street in front of the hotel and more around the corner (as well as a small parking lot) if needed. When we arrived there were 2 spots available on the street in front of the hotel for our 7:30pm reservation.
Dress code: It’s part of the hotel so you see a wide assortment of clothing, leaning more casual. Jeans and a nice top are appropriate.
Service: Good. Professional and attentive.
Drinks: I had a mocktail which was a homemade earl grey iced tea which was subtle and not very sweet. My husband had a rose recommended to him and enjoyed it.
Food:
- Pacing: Perfect amount of breathing room between courses so you did not feel rushed or felt like you were waiting too long.
- Bread: Nice rustic bread served with local olive oil and salt
- Water tip for any restaurant: if you just want tap water, ask for a “carafe d’eau”
- Appetizers: I had the burrata with cucumbers, mint, and jalapeños and this was incredibly good. More of a spring dish than a fall dish, but it did not matter because it was hands down delicious. My husband had the the squash/egg/shaved carrot dish. My husband enjoyed it but I found it a bit sweet for my liking.
- Mains: We took the waiter’s recommendation. I had the lamb shoulder with quinoa which was a miss in my husband’s and my opinion and combined we did not finish the dish. If you do not like cilantro, steer clear of this dish. I do like cilantro and it was a lot/overpowering for me. The meat was a stew meat consistency (soft/a bit fatty) that I usually like, but the flavoring just missed the mark. My husband had the butcher’s cut with potatoes. For the evening it was a pork tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked, a little pink and very juicy. It comes with this brown sauce and green sauce that worked well with the meat and the piping hot roasted potatoes.
- Dessert: We shared 3 scoops of the Ravi’s ice cream which is in the town’s square. Consistency was perfect. Our favorite was the almond flavor which little pieces of almond. Orange blossom flavor was very light (I could not taste it but my husband could). The lavender had a strong but not overpowering taste.

We had a great stay at Le Moulin and wish we had been able to stay longer. The rooms are very clean and there are many conveniences that set it apart from the rest such as an elevator, a B&O Bluetooth speaker, high quality soap/shampoo/body wash, a fancy Nespresso machine, a heated towel rack, and a rainfall shower head with excellent water pressure. The rooms have been renovated recently which is made clear by the jute flooring and high-end windows and shutters. The classic room is a very comfortable size with plenty of space for two people and their bags. All of the staff were genuinely very friendly and provided steamed milk for my wife's coffee. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

This is a review for the restaurant at Le Moulin since the restaurants google page shows “Permanently Closed”. I’m guessing this is due to so many negative yet accurate reviews.
We had a very disappointing dinner here last night at 7pm. We were the first guest to arrive and still the service was rather slow. We ordered, and bread was set out. Then we waited for a long time. We asked our server to bring our starters as soon as they were made and he immediately brought all our starters out after acting surprised we wanted our food so soon after ordering. It has been over 15 minutes. Turns out our food had been ready for awhile but he left it all sitting on the counter in the kitchen, unbeknownst to us. We ordered the skipjack tuna with fennel and blackberries, the burrata with zucchini and peaches, and the artichoke dish. They were all very bland, under-seasoned, and lacked any wow factor. Then came the sides and main dish. We ordered the potatoes which were very basic, and rather bland roasted potatoes. The seasonal vegetables which were completely unseasoned, steamed zucchini, cauliflower and carrots. Think frozen, bagged veggies most people pass on the grocery isle. And we ordered the special of the night, grilled sardines. They were lukewarm, atop a simple and forgettable remoulade, devoid of salt. Overall, there was a lack of flavor, seasoning and creativity. Bland, tasteless and underwhelming. We will not be back. Too bad as the location is superb and the hotel itself is gorgeous. What a waste of money.

On s'attendait à mieux !

Great bar with delicious options and a super fun and chatty bar tender who, even though he was rushed off his feet on new year's in the restaurant, made time to chat properly with us in the bar. The provencal negroni was a winner!
The location of Lourmarin is great as it allows you to explore all the pretty french villages in the Luberon and return to one of them at night!
Only comments would be it would have been nice if our bedroom window opened but it seems they were closed shut on purpose with no way to open, just to look out in the morning onto the street below and air the room. Another comment would be that the hotel could use a couple of cosy sofas in the bar (there is a banquette but nothing to really sink into). We also would have swam if the pool would have been heated, that would be a mega touch! Super small details though.
We loved it all!
