GALERIE DIDIER BROUSSE
Water-colour painter settled in Lourmarin for many years, Didier Brousse invites us to see landscapes from here and elsewhere, adorn with a special light. Provence, Brittany, Loire, so many subjects perfectly mastered, worked on the pattern. Some landscapes are imbued with a surreal climate, the natural elements, the sky, the storm, a sunset are all emotions that the artist transmits to us. Surrealism is precisely a register in which Didier Brousse excels in works where characters and allegorical figures appear. In particular, he finds his inspiration in the world of insects and birds and the reading of fantastic tales like The wonderful adventures of Nils Holgersson by Selma Lagerlöf.
