THE TOMBS OF CAMUS AND BOSCO
The graves of Camus and Bosco, two writers who adopted Lourmarin as their home, in the Lourmarin cemetery.
These adopted writers from Lourmarin are buried in the cemetery. Don't expect to see a large funeral monument. The grave of Camus and his wife Francine Faure looks like two small gardens with rosemary. On a large stone are inscribed dates: 1913-1960. For Bosco (1888-1976), it is a simple slab on the ground. On the stele, a rhombus and esoteric Greek characters whose meaning is that the human soul passes through the heart to reach paradise.
