THE BUILDING
Belfry resembling the old boxes that were hung in the kitchens
When you arrive, you see the village clock inserted in a section of wall: the belfry also called "Salt Box" because of its shape, it looks like the old boxes that used to be hung in kitchens. This place was a castle with a clod, the base of the first known feudal hold around the year one thousand. Today, it is a bell-tower-wall built in the 17th century on the remains of the feudal castle which houses a bell of 70 cm in diameter, melted in Carpentras by J-L Romain in 1732. The whole site was classified as a Historic Monument in 1942.
