A curious rock in Malaucène, on the road to the summit of the Ventoux.
It's a curious rock you'll come across on your way to the summit of the Ventoux. Legend has it that the entrance to an imaginary cave is fiercely guarded by the Chèvre d'Or, a fantastic animal. It only opens once a year, at Christmas, to reveal a hidden treasure, but so briefly that no one can get at it. Nearby, a Way of the Cross leads up Piaud Mountain to the 17th-century chapel of the same name, covered in carved slate.
