THE SOURCE OF THE GOOSEBERRY
A spring that fed Vaison-la-Romaine via an aqueduct built by the Romans and, above all, a beautiful nature walk.
A safeguarded site, classified since 1912. Since antiquity, this water point which feeds a small pond has been the source of life for the communities. It is this source that fed Vaison la Romaine through the aqueduct built by the Romans. In the 15th century, taking advantage of the driving force of the current, it is still the source that enabled the production of flour and oil mills or silk factories which constituted a real wealth for the region. Today, only one paper mill remains from this golden age. 1 km from the village, in the direction of the Ventoux, on the north side.
