TACTILE ASSOCIATION
Corinne Leridon is a visual artist who has set up her studio on the hills of Mérindol. She leads very different artistic projects and works with children all over the world. In order to raise their awareness of the environment, she offers them to make puppets with recycled objects. She goes to meet them in schools. She is convinced that when we associate things that are not made to be together, poetry emerges. We find this conviction in her artistic work. She mounts surprisingly light sculptures and assembles wood with iron and coloquintes. These are the materials that are the starting point of her creation. She speaks of singular art and it is quite astonishing, because she first trained in an extremely traditional art: tapestry, which she learnt at the Aubusson school.
