This is THE hike in the Gorges de la Nesque for experienced walkers.
It's an incredibly beautiful hike, full of surprises. You'll find yourself in a wild and grandiose canyon. Classified Natura 2000 for the diversity of its landscapes, you'll go from a 400 m overhang above the Nesque to wetlands, meadows, garrigues and old forests. All set against a backdrop of sheer cliffs and mysterious caves. You need to be an experienced walker to cover the 8.9 km trail in three hours. If you pass the Belvédère du Castellaras, you'll admire the Rocher du Cire, where bees used to take refuge. Lost under an overhang of rock, the little chapel of Saint-Michel de Anesca, built in the 12th century, will surprise you. An ideal place for a little meditation.
