The church of Montmajour, an architectural treasure associated with the abbey in the Alpilles.
It is associated with the Abbey of Montmajour in the Alpilles. The monks wanted to build a large church in the town. They built it in the Gothic style on the former chapel of Saint Joseph, part of the Antonine convent. But the French Revolution left its mark on the edifice. What remains is its beautiful wooden framework, now fully restored. In 2009, the "Friends of the Organ" enabled the acquisition of an early 20th-century organ. The gallery was built, and since then, an organ festival has been held in the church every autumn.
