This monument was built in the 11th century but was destroyed by a fire in 1415. In the course of time, the demolition of the tower was frequently requested but never granted. It was classified as a Historic Monument on January 8, 1910. The name "Tour Clémentine" was given to it in honour of Pope Clement V, who was one of its owners and often stayed there. 28 m high, 8 m wide, its walls are up to 2 m thick. Its summit is lined with simple crenellations.
