EGLISE SAINT LAURENT
In 1932, the church was reinforced with a concrete belt to ensure its stability, while retaining its wrought-iron communion table, etc.
The church of Saint-Laurent, patron saint of the commune, originally stood on the site of the current cemetery. When it collapsed in 1472, it had to be moved to the center of the village.
Shaken by earthquakes in the early 20th century, the church was reinforced in 1932 with a concrete belt that still ensures its stability. The Romanesque choir still retains its wrought-iron communion table. A gilded altarpiece depicts Saint Laurent. The 19th-century painted decoration depicts the four Evangelists: St. Luke, St. Mark, St. John and St. Matthew. Don't miss the lovely banner, dated June 7, 1872, embroidered with a heart dripping tears of blood onto a globe.
