Today, this preserved natural site is a popular family picnic spot and a favorite meeting place for hikers.
This forest was once home to an ochre deposit, exploited from 1887 to 1967, whose canals, settling ponds, wells, ochre huts and galleries can still be seen. Today it is a picnic area and a favourite meeting place for hikers. This site is remarkable both for its usefulness to human activity, but also for its natural wealth of vegetation. Its 15 ha forest, its maritime pines, oaks and its calcifuge flora constitute a unique system to be discovered. Possibility to go to the lake or to take advantage of the accrobranche.
