A must, this 12th-century tower contains a rare pictorial decoration. On two floors, you can discover medieval frescoes of the 13th century that have been remarkably preserved which tells the adventures and struggles led by Charles d'Anjou - brother of Saint Louis - in southern Italy, in the manner of a life-size cartoon. Its central character, Charles Anjou, is particularly well represented with his royal crown and white dress covered with lilies.

La Tour Ferrande 84210 Pernes-Les-Fontaines
La Tour Ferrande date du XII ème siècle et se trouve à côté de la Fontaine du Gigot. Très facilement reconnaissable, elle a représenté pour moi un point de repère dans la jolie ville de Pernes-Les-Fontaines.

C'est un joyau de Pernes. Malheureusement, ce n'est pas souvent ouvert. Se renseigner à l'office du tourisme qui organise des visites guidées.
On peut à coup sûr la visiter lors des journées du patrimoine.
