SHADE GARDEN
Superb contemporary garden of Tuscan inspiration, classified as a "remarkable garden" and part of the Brantes estate in the 18th century.
Yes, it is true, the period of visits is short over the year but believe us, the Garden of Brantes, classified as an Outstanding Garden, is worth a visit! Of Tuscan inspiration, it is part of the 18th century estate of Brantes. Restored from 1960 by the current owners, the castle is surrounded not only by a park dating from the early 19th century but also by this superb contemporary garden created from 1960 onwards according to the design of Danish landscape gardener Mogens Tvede. In its centre, three mirror basins where the neighbouring Sorgue flows. Among the witnesses of a centuries-old past, there are lawn beds, rows of boxwood, cypresses and laurel baskets that stand alongside one of Europe's oldest magnolias grandiflora, snow fairy roses and shrub peonies. Outside, you will not miss the park inhabited by some two hundred plane trees (unique in France).
