THE OLD VILLAGE
Go there and contact
Visit the old village of Taillades, with its rock houses, presbytery garden and rock faces.
Rock houses, a suspended path, sculpted and eroded rock sections: the marks of a medieval past are very present. At the entrance, on a huge block of molasse, stands a tower, a vestige of fortifications. Look up to discover the astonishing sculpture of a 14th-century bishop. The locals have given it a curious little name: le Morvelous ("the snot"). On the right, the 17th-century château is not open to visitors. The presbytery garden offers a unique panoramic view of Cavaillon and its Saint-Jacques hill.
